The enactment and execution of the Regulations of the Shanghai Municipality on the Supervision of Formatted Contractual Articles on January 1, 2001, embodies the publicization of private law. The Regulations define standard articles for use in contracts, however, when put to the criterion of judgment, there are some difficulties in producing evidence.
